Kelly Gorman is an American Mixed Media Artist who is currently living and working in the United Kingdom. She received her Masters in Arts Degree in Fine Art from the University for the Creative Arts in Farnham, United Kingdom and her Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Atlanta College of Art in Atlanta, Georgia USA. Gorman has exhibited artworks internationally in such exhibitions as: “Thinking Inside of the Box” at the University of Texas, Arlington Texas, USA; “Personally Political : Contemporary Sensation” at Tacheles New Gallery, Berlin, Germany; “Overview : Modern Painting” at Elysium Gallery in Swansea, Wales, UK; and “Distillations” at Institut Franco-Americain in Rennes, France. Select Collections which feature Gorman’s work include: the International Museum of Collage (IMCAC) in Fort Worth, Texas, USA and the Equality Now Center in New York City. Most recently, Gorman was shortlisted for the Royal Academy of Art Summer Exhibition and Bloomberg New Contemporaries. Gorman works primarily within a mixed media context focusing on the medias of collage, drawing, experimental video, sculpture, and painting.
